ABOUT ME
The Face behind Sophie’s Study Hub
Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am the founder of Sophie’s Study Hub! I am currently studying Law with Criminology at the University of Birmingham, a top 10 university in the UK. Having excelled in my GCSEs, A Levels and LNAT, I created Sophie’s Study Hub to share the knowledge, skills and strategies I have developed throughout my own academic journey and help students achieve their own goals.
Sophie’s Study Hub provides personalised academic support to help students feel more confident in their studies, prepare effectively for exams and reach their academic potential. However, my support doesn’t stop at revision and exams. Through mentoring, I also help students think about their future pathways, whether that means choosing a university degree, exploring a career or considering an apprenticeship.
My aim is to support students throughout their sixth form or college experience, providing guidance not only with their current studies but also with the decisions that can shape their future.
Why did I create Sophie’s Study Hub?
Sophie’s Study Hub is particularly important to me because I want to give back the knowledge and experience I have gained throughout my own education. Coming from a deprived area where higher education can sometimes feel like a distant or unrealistic possibility, I understand how easy it can be for students to feel that certain opportunities are simply not meant for them. I want to help change that. I want students to see that their background does not have to determine their future. You do not have to come from a private school or a wealthy area to achieve excellent grades, attend university or pursue the career you dream of.
By creating Sophie’s Study Hub, I hope to be someone students can look up to, learn from and feel comfortable asking for support. Whether you need help with a difficult subject, guidance with revision, support with your future plans or simply someone who understands what it is like to navigate sixth form or college, I want Sophie’s Study Hub to be a place where you feel supported and confident in what you can achieve.
My approach
I believe academic support should be personal. Every student learns differently, has different strengths and faces different challenges, which is why I aim to tailor my support around the individual rather than providing a one-size-fits-all approach. Each session begins with a consultation to confirm your individual targets, strengths and desired outcomes from the sessions.
Ultimately, Sophie’s Study Hub is about more than just grades. It is about helping students develop the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to succeed both academically and beyond the classroom.

English Literature A Level
Please note that these revision resources have been created for English Literature AQA paper 1 option A and paper 2 option B, therefore they will be most useful, not exclusively meaningful, for those papers.
An A3 revision sheet covering every poem from the Feminine Gospels anthology. Each poem includes a concise summary, relevant context, key quotations and central ideas, providing a clear and condensed overview of the entire collection on a single sheet
A3 Quote Bank organized by scene and theme. This revision resource picks out the main quotes and organises them to help students memorise where they are and why they are important.
A3 sheet of all of the poems in the AQA poetry anthology for the Love through the ages paper. This is for option A AQA English Literature A level. Each poem summary covers context, a summary, key quotes and key analysis points.
incudes 3 themed revision sheets, a timeline, and character revision sheets. These will help students understand the text and the function of different themes and characters.
A3 quote bank organised by character and scene. This material will guide students on what quotes are the most essential to memorise, and where in text they are.
Photos of my poetry anthology for AQA English Literature option A paper 1. Poems include, she walks in beauty, the ruined maid ect. These annotations are in depth and detailed to provide an analytical overview of each poem.

condensed revision notes for each character, intending to be used as a brief overview before the exam. Includes how the characters link to each poem, link to autobiography, their relationships with other characters, the key sections they are in and more.
14 essay plans covering almost all of the themes and characters.
A4 mindmap which aims to illustrate to students what should be included for a good unseen prose essay. The resource highlights certain features such as reader positioning to encourage students to integrate these ideas into their writing.
Includes a timeline, two essay plans and character profiles. These are condensed notes to help students with the purpose of each character in the play and the central storyline.
This is the coursework piece I submitted that got full marks. The texts I used were The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman and Pamphilia to Amphilanthus poetry anthology by Lady Mary Wroth

Includes Othello timeline and character profiles. These revision sheets aim to highlight the key quotes and functions of different characters in the play. This will help with student’s analysis and understanding the play.

History A Level
Please note that these resources have been created for the Edexcel options 35 and H
A summary of information for each colony. Each colony covers the causes of tensions, methods of control and why Britain lost or maintained the colony.
at least one essay plan per topic (excluding thatcher). model example essay plans that have been approved by a history teacher. Students can use this resource for some content but also to see examples of how information can be organised to make arguments
covers almost every topic and gives detailed notes to showcase important facts to remember. This resource can be used to expand a students knowledge but also help with their understanding of events.
A3 US and conformity posters that cover all of the information needed for the exam. this is for option 1H.2. These resources can be used to add to existing knowledge or to visualise a summary of information. The posters are divided by the 4 time line divisions stated in the specification.
These are digitally written notes which are divided by the different topics eg: education, healthcare etc. This is a more condensed version which lists evidence. These resources exclude Thatcher notes
BT notes including thatcher. The Thatcher notes are condensed but the rest of the topics are in extensive detail. The notes are arranged by topic (eg: education, economy, etc) and prime minister (chronological order)
4 example essays for each paper (Britain transformed and thatcher, US conformity and challenge, and British Empire). All essays received either an A or A*.
detailed notes for Navy, trade and all of the colonies. these digitally written notes are great to extend your existing knowledge and include everything you need to know before the exam
Model example of how the history coursework should be structured, written and referenced. Exams conduct plagiarism checks so please refrain from copying or stealing any work, instead use it for inspiration or as a guide. This work was highly commended by my A level History teacher as a model example!
each colony has a A3 timeline including all information needed for the exam. There is also two A3 sheets for the Trade and Navy topics which organises information into essay plans.

Psychology A Level

These essay plans cover every 16 marker in the relationship unit as there is one plan for each topic. Each plan has AO1 and AO3 evaluation following PEELEL.
research methods A3 sheet that covers almost all of the content needed to know for AQA Psychology A level. The sheet is condensed but detailed so it can be used to learn content but also recap before the exam
there are 14 question examples with the majority being 16 markers and a couple being 8 markers. the revision resource covers memory, attachment and social influence .
4 posters: biopsychology, memory, attachment, and issues & debates. Detailed A3 revision resources that cover all content for each topic
39 detailed essay plans for the topics schizophrenia, relationships, issues and debates, and aggression. The AO1 is fully typed out but AO3 is bullet pointed. This can be used to revise content but also see how to write and structure extended answers (16 markers). covers almost all topics in each option and issues & debates is fully covered.

GCSE Revision products
these are my annotations for each poem in the love and relationships section of the AQA poetry anthology. These annotations helped me get full marks on my poetry exam question. Each poem is covered except Singh Song. Students can use these annotations to support their analysis and further their interpretations
